W.W. Grainger Q2 ’24 Dividend Announcement

The board of directors of W.W. Grainger (NYSE: GWW) has declared a regular quarterly dividend of $2.05 per common share, an increase of approximately 10% from the previous quarterly dividend of $1.86.
For calendar year 2024, this marks the fifteenth dividend increase for the Washington Crossing Advisors Rising Dividend portfolio. All fifteen changes were increases. The average dividend increase is 6.7% compared with December 31, 2023 indicated levels.

From the press release: “W.W. Grainger, Inc. (NYSE: GWW) announced today that its board of directors approved a quarterly cash dividend of $2.05 per share, an increase of 10% from the most recent company dividend. The dividend is payable on June 1, 2024, to shareholders of record on May 13, 2024.
In addition, the board approved the repurchase of up to 5 million shares of the company’s outstanding common stock, replacing the company’s existing repurchase authorization. The new repurchase authorization has no expiration date. As of December 31, 2023, the company had approximately 49.3 million shares of common stock outstanding.
